M.S. DIXIE
II

There has been an M.S. Dixie crusin' Lake
Tahoe since 1949. It was initially a family pleasure boat
that was later expanded to become Tahoe's first public paddlewheeler
in 1972. That vessel was replaced by the state-of-the-art
570-passenger M.S. Dixie II that began her service to the
public in May 1994. Lake Tahoe's largest, most sophisticated
cruise vessel ever, the M.S. Dixie II combines the grace
and style of her predecessors with the spacious comfort
made possible by modern technology.
The M.S. Dixie II has three passenger decks and below deck
machinery rooms. The main deck dining room and the second
deck entertainment area, gift shop and Admiral's Room are
climate controlled. There is a glass-bottom viewing compartment
on the main deck. The Hurricane or Texas deck is an open-air
deck with a snack bar and the pilot house.
The M.S. Dixie II cruises daily, year-round from Zephyr
Cove Resort. Enjoy Lake Tahoe on a clear morning for a Breakfast
or Champagne Brunch Cruise. Delight in the midday splendor
of the lake on an Emerald Bay Sightseeing Cruise with luncheon
or early dinner service. Romance on the famed Sunset Dinner
Dance Cruise, complete with a live band. Plus, on all daytime
cruises you will be invited to view the amazing and exclusive
video, "Sunken Treasures of Lake Tahoe."
The M.S. Dixie II was designed with groups in mind and is
an ideal and affordable venue year-round for functions of
all types, specializing in wedding rehearsal dinners, ceremonies
and receptions.
Over two and a half million delighted passengers have taken
an M.S. Dixie II cruise on Lake Tahoe! Cruises, schedules
and fares vary depending on the time of year, so call for
an informative brochure, charter rates and reservations.

WOODWIND
SAILING CRUISES

As one of the oldest sailing excursion companies
in the United States, Woodwind Sailing Cruises have been
skimming the crystalline waters of Lake Tahoe for nearly
25 years.
A Woodwind Sailing Cruise is more than a boat ride. It's
an adventure steeped in history and romance. White billowing

stable and comfortable sailing under all conditions. No
special clothing or shoes are required. The spacious seating,
wide decks and enclosed cabins offer comfort to everyone
aboard. The attractive cabins below deck offer inside comfort,
restroom facilities, glass-bottom viewing windows, plush
upholstery and handcrafted woodwork. Both vessels provide
a full-service bar and state-of-the-art sound system.

parties. Weddings are one of their specialties. The yachts
sail from April 15 to October 15. Special cruises may be
